Yoga & Spiritual Retreat
Rishikesh is a place for yogis, sadhus and foriegners alike. A major centre for Yoga and Hindu activity and situated only 4-5 hours northeast of Delhi. With its many ashrams and sacred shrines, Rishikesh draws devotees and followers from all walks of life. The arrival of the Beatles, who came on to meet Sri Guru Maharishi in 1968, quickly made a name for this intoxicating Himalayan town as a place of pilgrimage and spiritual pursuits.
Retreat Itinerary
Days 1/2 – Arrive Delhi. Next day sightseeing of Old and New Delhi, including the Spice markets, Jama Masjid, Gandhis shrine and Connaught Cirucs. Stay 2 nights Delhi
Day 3 – Drive to Haridwar. Check into hotel. Afternoon evening Aarti Hindu ceremony on Ganges. Stay 1 night Haridwar
Day 4 – Drive to Rishikesh. Check into hotel. Orientation meeting, free time to relax
Days 5 - 9 – Yoga Retreat Schedule/Programme
Day 10 – Transfer Rishikesh to Delhi. Evening flight back to Australia
