Bhutan Seven Day Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Paro
During the flight, on a clear day, you can see breathtaking views of the Himalaya Mountains, including the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake peaks in Bhutan. Upon arrival in Paro, you will be greeted by your own private tour escort and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Paro Valley and temples, incluidng Dungtse Lhakhang buitt in 1433 AD. In the evening explore Paro town.
Day 2: Paro to Thimphu (Capital of Bhutan)
Tour the Paro National museum, a collection of fine arts, paintings, thankas, statues, and antiques.
Day 3: Thimphu sightseeing - Visit Kings Memorial and Changgangkha Monastry and radio towers for magnificant views of the Thimphu countryside.
Day 4 - Thimphu to Wangdue (3-hour drive)
Stop for tea at Dochu La (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. Visit Punakha Dzong, which is noteworthy both for being one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan. On the way back from Punakha, take a walk through the rice fields to Chimi Lakhang.
Day 5 - Day trip to Phobjikha
Visit the Wangdue dzong and Phobjikha valley. Pass through dense forests of oak trees and rhododendrons and arrive at Gantey village, and explore Phobjikha Valley, which boasts the largest wetlands in Bhutan.
Day 6: Wangdue to Paro (4-hour drive)
Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) Monastery. Perched 900 meters above Paro Valley. The hike to reach the viewpoint to the monastery makes for a nice half-day excursion. In the evening you can visit a traditional farmhouse and enjoy a typical Bhutanese dinner.
Day 7: - Depart Paro
